Program Description

Summer Loreto Religious Education is three and half hours per day, five days a week, for two weeks. This program offers 30 hours of Religious instruction in the summer plus a minimum of five Catechetical Events throughout the following school year for students from First through Ninth grades. It is a three year cyclical program focusing on Creed, Church History and Sacraments, and Scripture.

SUMMER LORETO

Registration material will be availabe in late March/early April 2010.
At the request of the catechists, no one-week home school option will be available for this program.  Students must be able to attend all classes for both weeks.  Priority placement is given first to the children of volunteers, then to registered parishioners who need to fulfill their Religious Education requirement.  Students who cannot be placed will be given the option of placement in the School Year program or provided with Home School material.

Child Care is for Volunteers only. Participants must register on the form.

Class sections/sizes are limited. Students are registered first come, first served.

Class placement letters will be sent to families 10 days before class begins.  If you do not have your letter six days before the first class, please call and confirm placement.  864-4714.

 CATECHETICAL EVENTS REQUIREMENT
Beginning with participants of Loreto 2008, the diocese requires attendance at five (5) Catechetical Events throughout the school year.  A log of attendance at these events is necessary prior to registering for Loreto 2009.  Logs are available here.

  • Parish Mission featuring Jesse Manibusan Sun. March 7-Tues March 9, 2010.  Come all three times and it counts as three events!
