Latest News from Holy Family Parish

Fr. KK writes in an email dated July 8, 2010:

I'm well, so is the village. The pupils are in vacations. Me I have not vacations because I have to much things to do. During the vacations, I want to organize some cultural activities for the youngs, in the parish and also some formation of bible, Liturgia, dance, sing etc for the parishioners.

We have already find the teacher agriculture. But the memorandum is not yet sign because we don't see where come from the salary.

May God bless and protect you.

Haiti Committee
We, the Haiti Committee of St. Edward Church, in response to the gospel call of Jesus Christ, have dedicated and focused our efforts in the island country of Haiti. We are committed to a twinning relationship between St. Edward Parish in Richmond and Holy Family Parish in Cerca Carvajal, Haiti. The relationship is viewed as a growing and dynamic experience between brothers and sisters in Christ.  Recognizing the deep spiritual wealth of the Haitian people, it is the desire of this committee to enhance the spiritual journey of the members of both parishes.

Pray for Haiti!

Prayer for Haiti

God our hope, we entrust to you the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Dismayed by the incomprehensible suffering of the innocent, we ask you to inspire the hearts of those who are trying to provide the aid which is so indispensable. We know how deep the faith of the Haitian people is. Help the dying; strengthen the downhearted; console those who are weeping; send your Spirit of compassion on this people which has been so sorely tried.

Brother Alois
