First Eucharist and Reconciliation

Classes for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist begin in January. Letters will be mailed in December to registered families who may have children eligible to prepare for First Eucharist and Reconciliation.  Preparation and reception of First Eucharist and Reconciliation typically takes place during second grade.  Complete and return the registration form to the Christian Formation Office along with the $40 fee and a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate (if your child was not baptized at St. Edward Church).

PLEASE NOTE: We offer two options for First Eucharist celebration:

  1. Group celebrations will take place at the Church on May 5 and 6, 2012.  Due to seating limitations, families are limited to 10 seats including the candidate. Families are served on a first come, first served basis.
  2. Families also have the option of celebrating First Eucharist at one of our parish weekend liturgies during the Easter season.  Guest seating is unlimited at the Sunday liturgy celebrations with maximum of six families for each weekend liturgy.

Sign up is required for any of the above liturgy options.  Please call the Office to express your intentions.  We need to know how many people including the candidate will be attending the liturgy. An accurate seating count is needed. Please do not reserve extra seating so that we can accommodate all families.  We also would like to invite families to participate in various liturgical ministries within the large group liturgies.
