Pastoral Care |
We CARE NetworkA group of pastorally trained parishioners who volunteer to offer caring, compassionate service to those who reach out to this community, ie. rides, meals, visits, etc. Ministry to the HomeboundOften we feel our time could be used in more meaningful ways. If you have some time to share and ask “is it I Lord?” we could use your gifts in the Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound. Email Anita McCabe or call her at 864-4712 for more information on this beautiful outreach and expression of Christ’s love to those who can’t always be present with us. Assisted Living/Nursing-home MinistryAssisted living facilities within our parish bounds are visited on a weekly basis by volunteers who bring Eucharist and spend time with the Catholic residents. Funeral MinistryCan you be part of our Funeral/Funeral Reception Team? This group is made up of compassionate individuals who provide a much needed service to comfort the grieving families who request hospitality following a funeral liturgy. Especially needed are individuals who can provide food or their time to serve during weekend or evening funerals. For details, please call Anita, 864-4712. Also, parishioners volunteer on an as-needed basis to assist families before liturgy and provide support to grieving families. Coordinator will contact you when there is a need. Prayer Blanket MinistryWe gather monthly to pray as compassionate Christians for those who receive blankets or shawls. Then, additional ones are assembled to give to those who need to know they are not alone by feeling this church family's strength, support, and/or consolation through receiving one of these creations. For more information or to express interest contact Faye Keller at 794-8099 or Kim Cotreau at 379-7781.
