  • Is my giving history confidential?

    Yes. Your account only permits you to see the giving history of those in your household. You cannot see anyone else's giving history and they cannot see yours.

  • If I update my record, will I need to update my information for religious ed and other ministries?

    No. My Own Church is connected with the church's main registration system. The new information will be available to every staff member who uses the software.

  • I made a change to my record. Why isn't it showing up?

    All updates must be reviewed by staff admin. Once your change is accepted, you will see it in My Own Church.

  • I recently created an account. Why can't I log in?

    If your account is new, your church admin may not have authorized your username and password yet.

  • I forgot my password. What do I do?

    Visit the site and click the Lost Password link. Enter your information to receive a temporary password and then create a new password. Remember to keep your username/password in a safe place. If additional help is needed, contact the parish office at 804.272.2948 and ask for Kathleen Wood.

  • I'm creating an account and received a "Registration Failed" message. Why?

    The system did not recognize your email address in the church database. Contact the parish office 804.272.2948 and ask for Kathleen Wood to assist you.

  • My Own Church isn't working in my browser. What's the trouble?

    Hardware Requirements and Web Browsers Supported:  ParishSoft My Own Church runs on any Mac or PC device.  For security reasons and the best user experience, we recommend you use the latest versions of the following browsers:

    • Microsoft Internet Explorer

    • Microsoft Edge

    • Mozilla Firefox

    • Chrome

    • Safari


    If you do not have one these browsers installed on your system, you must install or upgrade to one of them before you can log in.


  • What all can I do with a My Own Church account?

    You can update personal information such as your email address and phone number. You can check your giving history at any time and download an annual statement for tax purposes. 

  • Can I give online via My Own Church?

    No. My Own Church is not a giving site. Please click "Give" on this website to donate online using WeShare. Please remember My Own Church and WeShare are not the same system.

  • I'm a Liturgical Minister. Can I see my schedule under My Ministry on My Own Church?

    No. We use an independent program for scheduling our Liturgical Ministers. See our Liturgical Ministry webpage for Ministry Scheduler Pro.
